Woody Samson is a Naarm-based multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and DJ who turns every set into a full-scale experience. Armed with guitar, trumpet, synths, piano, drum machines, percussion and a five-octave vocal range, Woody builds his songs live on stage — layering sound, rhythm and hooks into something loud, joyful and impossible to ignore.

Born into a musical family and shaped by Melbourne’s experimental scene, music has always been Woody’s anchor. That connection comes through in every performance — playful, high-energy and full of heart. His sound sits somewhere between cosmic pop and futuristic 80s re-imagined, with enough groove to get the room moving fast.

A familiar face at iconic Melbourne venues including The Espy, Baxter’s Lot, The Imperial Hotel, Bridge Hotel and Richmond Club Hotel, Woody is a resident favourite across the city and plays multiple shows every week. In 2025, he’s also teaming up with Lewis Toms and Angus McKean for the wildly fun Woody Samson & The Sexy Boys, with new music on the way.
